A same process, food retailers reorganization, has been analysed in two thesis, the one realised by an economist and based on mathematics models, the other realised by a geographer and based on case studies. The comparison between these two « modelling » and « monographic » approaches allows to enhance them each other, opening a deeper work of methodologic criticize and new research ways.
