Les corpus métalinguistiques et l'histoire conceptuelle des théories linguistiques - une contradiction ?

Abstract : The use of large diachronic corpora, such as CORDE (Corpus Diacrónico del Español) or Frantext, can assist in studies into the history of linguistics, since these corpora permit the analysis of the spread and generalization of certain terms in non-specialist texts. This procedure has to be combined with the investigation of these terms in corpora of texts that are specialized on language issues, such as grammars, theoretical treatises on language, dictionaries, articles or handbooks as well as books and articles written after the institutionalization of linguistics. Apart from the CTLF, there are at present no specialized corpora and so such corpora must be created for each individual project.
