Musée scolaire ou cabinet de curiosités ? Exemple de l'institution Saint-Joseph de Rodez

Abstract : The Saint-Joseph de Rodez Institution, founded by the Christian Brothers, has been home to a cabinet of curiosities since the latter half of the 19th century, which has gradually been added to over time with donations from missionary brothers or alumni. It is a rare example of collections with an educational purpose that can still be seen in the private institutions of the region. The drawing up of its inventory in 2014 should aid in supporting its protection.
