HUMAN FORMATION IN THE UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
FORMACIÓN HUMANA EN EL PROCESO EDUCATIVO UNIVERSITARIO
Résumé
This paper is a cogitattion about the need to consider a new epistemological philosophical position that supports an education that gives greater prominence to human formation and moreover made an analysis on the importance for universities to apply not only an academic curriculum focused on learning the contents of each professionalizing program, but also an additional curriculum focused on human formation of the students, enabling them, firstly, successfully navigate adolescence in which they are, and on the other part of them to reach the fullness of their physical, emotional, cognitive-intellectual and psycho-social development, such as requirement for responsible students in conditions of freedom and therefore excellent professionals.
En el presente documento reflexiono sobre la necesidad de considerar una nueva posición filosófica epistemológica que sustente una educación que le de mayor relevancia a la formación humana y por otra parte efectuó un análisis sobre la importancia de que en las universidades se aplique no solamente un currículo académico enfocado al aprendizaje de los contenidos de cada programa profesionalizante, sino también un currículo adicional enfocado a la formación humana de los alumnos, que les permita, por una parte, transitar con éxito la etapa de la adolescencia en la que se encuentran, y por otra parte que logren alcanzar la plenitud de su desarrollo físico, emocional, cognitivo-intelectual y psico-social, como requisito para ser alumnos responsables en condiciones de libertad y por ende profesionistas de excelencia.
