إن المرور من القصر أو المدينة التاريخية إلى المدينة " الحديثة " نتيجة للتحولات التاريخية والاجتماعية يطرح العديد من التساؤلات والإشكاليات حول التغيرات التي يحدثها على أنماط الحياة الاجتماعية لسكان الصحراء المتميزين أصلا بنوعين من التركيبة الإجتماعو_إقتصادية، القرويين القلاحين القدامى ذوي التقاليد الحضرية، والمجموعات البدوية المتمدنة حديثا، وأيضا على الممارسات الحضرية الجديدة وأنماط الحضرية الجديدة في هذه المناطق المطبوعة بالخصوصية الصحراوية.
من خلال مقاربة أنثروبولوجية نوعية في مدينة تقرت عاصمة إقليم وادي ريغ في الجنوب الشرقي الجزائري. يمكن أن تكون بعد الدراسة المعمقة نموذجا للإجابة على إشكال هام: أي مدينة هي في طور الإنجاز في مدن الصحراء الجزائرية اليوم؟
