Does lutocline exist in sewers?

Résumé

Crabtree (1989) proposed a deposit classification based on the deposit origin, nature and location in the sewerage system. Meanwhile, Ross and Mehta (1989) proposed a specific classification for deposed and suspended sediment in estuaries. The bibliographic review shows a lot of similarities between sewer and estuary deposits. Thus a question arises, can lutocline exist in sewers? This paper presents an experimental study that will contribute to answer this question.
