Professeur des écoles : une identité professionnelle?

Abstract : The reform of the teachers training, such as it will be set up next September (2010), can be arrested as an event ending an era of about two hundred years. Opening on the creation of the first" Ecole Normale", the period which the process of "mastérisation " stops, knew numerous transformations until the recent creation of IUFM ( 1991 ). The latter, if they were a turning point, were however " the heirs of institutions and previous traditions " (Lang, 2001). By questioning us about the professional identity of the teachers today, we can have the feeling to photograph a reality dedicated to be transformed. By collecting and by analyzing the point of view of eighteen teachers just named or experienced, we try just as much to inform this professional identity of primary school teacher of today, that to ask us if the idea of a shared identity is possible.
