On varieties of verbal ellipsis in Czech

This paper describes properties of gapping and VP ellipsis in Czech. It is shown that these constructions share most of the properties which have been already observed for verbal ellipsis in English or French, but that they also have some different properties, which can be related to particular properties of Czech language.
