The practice of socialization and the socialization of practice
Résumé
At the core of how societies operate, lies social interaction. Organizations as significant social bodies rely on social interaction both to get things done in order to remain sustainable and also impart a contribution to the wider society. Understanding the dynamics of social interactions in the way social agents and social action take place through the lens of social practice theory could yield powerful insights both about practices of socialization as well as the socialization of practices. The purpose of this paper is to fundamentally reveal the tensions that such interaction expose and the dynamics in negociating individual and collective priorities
Les interactions sociales se situent au coeur de la façon dont fonctionnent les sociétés. Parmi les entités significatioves, les organisations reposent sur les interactions sociales pour que les choses soient faites et qu'elles puissent durer mais aussi pour contribuer à la société. Comprendre la dynamique des interactions sociales au travers de la façon dont les agents sociaux et de laction sociale peut être comprise au travers du prisme de la notion de pratique pour comprendre aussi bien les pratiques de socialisation que la socialisation des pratiques. Il s'agit ici de comprendre les tensions inhérentes à de telles interactions et ce qu'elles induisent dans la dynamique de négociation entre les priorités individuelles et collectives
