Résumé

A non-equilibrium (NEQ) model including heterogeneous reaction is developed. Mass transfer rates are described using Stefan-Maxwell equations. In a first section, model equations are described. Then the resolution strategy is presented in more details. In the third section, an illustrative example is considered: acetic acid esterification. The system is solved and results are presented: molar liquid fraction profiles in the column. Those results are compared to those obtained with a more classical model (equilibrium model): fraction profiles are quite different. Reaction rates are influenced by this variation.
