Choix, valeurs et motivations des pré-adolescents dans les réponses à l'enquête sur la lecture experte d'Harry Potter

Abstract : We analyze the answers to 17 questions about the reading and the judgments on the first 5 volumes of the saga “Harry Potter”. We have divided the sample into four categories (children, pre-teenagers, teenagers, adults) in order to reveal the choices and the motivations of teenagers compared to those of the other age categories. The pre-teenagers clearly differ from the children by calling into question the values of the childhood which announces the values of the teenage. Moreover we observe a better consideration of complexity in : the school system, the community life, the division into the four “houses” in Hogwarts School, the competition between the “houses”, the definition of a “good” teacher, the notion of interesting or uninteresting discipline, their relations with the disciplines of the “real world”...
