Vers une hégémonie allemande? L'Allemagne et l'Europe hier et aujourd'hui

Abstract : What are the main tendencies of the territorial and political Order in Europe since the Middle Ages? How did dynasties and nations try to shape the destiny of the continent hitherto? Which Ideas of Europe dominated the minds since the Renaissance? To what extent did WWI radically change the continent? What remains after the turn of 1989-1991 of the territorial and political reshaping of the continent which was decided unter the influence of Clemenceau after WWI? Does the process of European Integration which is now supported by Germany represent? A rupture with the Republican tradition in France or basically a bright confirmation to the boldest republican and democratic dreams - dreams that did not even exist als Utopias in the 1970s...
