Révision des régions de provenances et peuplements sélectionnés : le cas des chênes pédonculés et sessile
Résumé
Researches on European white oaks focused on description and origin of genetic diversity. Different molecular and quantitative markers have been used to analyse Forest stands. The diversity patterns result from different neutral and adaptive evolutionary forces. Results obtained confirm wise oak stands management practices such as i) selection of adapted species (sessile oak versus pedunculate one), ii) priority given to natural regeneration if there are enough seed trees with high quality level and if they belong to the selected species and iii) if plantation is necessary, selection of genetic sources coming from registered seed collection stands closely related on geographical and ecological point of view. Development of nursery contracts is needed. The most famous oak stands show higher genetic performances in field tests even during the first years of growth.
