ASYMPTOTIC THEOREMS AND π-p → π°n POLARIZATION

The surprising results of the recent 40 GeV/c Serpukhov measurement of the polarization in π-p → π°n are shown to support the conjecture that hadronic amplitudes may grow as fast as they are permitted to by general principles.
