Onomatopoeia and Phono-Iconicity in Hebrew in the framework of LUIT : Language - a Unified and Integrative Theory

The supposedly 3-phonems roots of Biblical Hebrew are shown to be redutcible to 2-phonem basic groups, which are for a large part onomatopoetic. This connects directly to the phylogenetically evolutionary origin of language and its persisting intrinsic biological nature and dynamics, hence to 'LUIT : Language - a Unified and Integrative Theory' (Kirtchuk 2007 and forthcoming).

Les racines de l'hébreu biblique, supposées être tri-phonématiques, se laissent regrouper en des grappes de racines possédant deux phonèmes en commun et un sens de base commun. Ces binômes sont pour une grande part d'origine onomatopéique ou phono-iconique. Ceci est directement relié à l'origine du langage en phylogénie et à sa dynamique essentiellement biologique par ailleurs. Ceci corrobore 'LUIT : Language - a Unified and Integrative Theory' (Kirtchuk 2007 et à paraître).
