Our topic presents examples of etymological notices devoted to the hereditary words and published by TLF-Étym in the basis of this new methodology. These examples will be supported also by the prototype of an item of the future DÉRom (Dictionnaire Étymologique Roman, cf. Buchi/Schweickard 2007). These examples will allow us to show in which measure the practice of the etymology of the French hereditary glossary is dependent on the advances of the Roman etymology, with which she henceforth must develop in the same direction.
