The organization against the management : the role of regulation of the firstline manager and its impediments

Résumé
There is a real contradiction in our contemporary organizations on the unanimous recognition of the essential dimension of the role of the firstline manager within companies, and the lack of knowledge about the content of his work. Based on the reproduction of the structured observation methodology implemented by Mintzberg (1970), we sought to understand and analyze what does presently contain the work of this manager, what are the potential impediments to this role, and what are the potential impacts in terms of performance and health work in the organization?
Il y a une véritable contradiction dans nos organisations contemporaines sur le constat unanime de la dimension essentielle du rôle du manager de proximité dans l’entreprise, et le manque de connaissances portant sur le contenu de
son travail. S’appuyant sur la reproduction de la méthodologie d’observation structurée mise en place par Mintzberg (1970), nous avons cherché à comprendre et à analyser ce qui constitue désormais le travail de cet encadrant, quels sont les empêchements potentiels à ce rôle, et quels sont les impacts potentiels en termes de performance et de santé au travail dans l’organisation ?
