Proposition d'un modèle produit liant la maquette numérique aux données hétérogènes d'un grand ensemble mécanique

Abstract : Reverse engineering is an activity that is more and more used in manufacturing industry, which consists on the reuse of already existing components, parts, or subsystems in order to reduce product development time and cost, and reach the market as soon as possible. This activity is generally known as one that is based essentially on the capture of the product’s physical form, by analyzing its geometry and topology. However, the only form aspect of the product doesn’t allow an optimal integration in those new projects. Thus, the use of higher levels of abstraction representations of the product based on complementary aspects is interesting. In our research work, we are proposing a new way of doing reverse engineering, by using a set of heterogeneous data that represent the product. This set of data is composed of different types of data: textual data, pictorial data, or virtual data; and can represent different aspects of the product such as: functions, structure, or behavior. In order to formalize this approach, we first propose a heterogeneous data integration approach through a detailed analysis in order to identify relevant pieces of information to integrate, and then end up at linking these pieces of information to a product model that gathers different perspectives of the product. All of this is done in order to build a semantically richer representation of the product that the classical geometric representation.
