Génération, stockage et manipulation d'états non classiques pour des ensembles atomiques et des champs électromagnétiques

Abstract : We study the generation, storage and
manipulation of optical and atomic non classical states using the
interaction between cold atoms and optical fields in cavity.

After experimentally generating squeezed and entangled light states
when the atoms behave as a Kerr medium, we theoretically study the
possibility to produce such states in three-level systems, as well
as to reduce the atomic quantum fluctuations below the standard
quantum limit.

We then present several schemes to transfer and store non classical
states into an atomic ensemble collective spin in order to realize a
cold atom quantum memory.

As applications to quantum information, we study the entanglement
and teleportation of atomic ensembles, the realization of long-lived
quantum memories with 3He nuclear spins and the entanglement of
mechanical oscillators.
