MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ORDERED MONODISPERSE POLYSTYRENE LATEX AS A LYOTROPIC LIQUID CRYSTAL

The steady flow behaviours and the dynamic viscoelasticity at 40 kHz of the ordered monodisperse polystyrene latex have been measured. The results indicate that the ordered latex is a kind of crystal which shows the rigidity of about 103 dyne/cm2 and the very low yield stress of 0.5 dyne/cm2.
