La littératie en milieu défavorisé au primaire : perceptions d’enseignantes autour de leurs pratiques collaboratives

Abstract : We led a research-action-training project exploring the reading, writing, and oral literacy practices of 13 grade 2 and 3 teachers (students aged 8 to 12) in Quebec. First, we will present teachers' perceptions of literacy as a winning strategy to motivate children in disadvantaged communities to develop reading, writing, and oral skills related to their everyday lives. We will also demonstrate how taking the concept of literacy into account made it possible for these teachers to collaboratively develop literacy-related learning and evaluation activities (LEAs) and test them in class. We will then describe the impact of these collaborative LEAs on student motivation and teaching practice renewal. These LEAs will also be presented.
