The present invention relates to a compound of the following general formula: ( I ) :or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and / or solvate thereof , for use as drug , particularly intended for inhibiting a programmed cell death route selected from the group consisting of ferroptosis , oxytosis and cellular necroptosis . The present invention also relates to a compound of general formula ( 1 ) for use as a drug for neuroprotection as well as for preventing and / or treating disorders associated with cellular necroptosis or ferroptosis . The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of general formula ( I ) , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and / or solvate thereof . The present invention also encompasses the use of a compound of the general formula ( I ) for organs preservation.
