Abstract : In the context of 3D object manipulation and 3D reconstruction, several methods are available to acquire 3D data (point clouds, volumes or meshes). The estimation of 3D mesh quality is a fundamental step in many applications, as for example, in a 3D reconstruction process performed in an iterative way. Some approaches allow to evaluate the quality of 3D models generated with the use of a reference model. However, a reference 3D model is not always provided.
