Economic Intelligence and Interoperability for an Open Source E- learning Platform

Michel Labour

Résumé

The originality of our study is the grounding of an economic intelligence approach via the production of tailor-made training contents. This is vital for the upskilling of an organisation wishing to take up the challenge of economic intelligence. To do this we sought to increase the interoperability of a free and open source e-learning platform that integrates different applications and results in a seamless interface. Our study first compared seven elearning systems from which we chose the Moodle platform. Then, with Moodle, we analysed the production process complying to two technical standards SCORM and IMS-LD through standard-compliant content authoring tools, RELOAD and LAMS. The results show that training content can be created as a seamless interface with LAMS-IMS-Learning Design Level A Format on Moodle via LAMS, rather than with RELOAD conform IMS-Learning Design.
