The impact of sociopolitical changes on the nomination process for inscription of properties on the UNESCO World Heritage List
L'impact des mutations socio-politiques sur la procédure d'inscription des biens sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO
Résumé
World heritage represents a social form of contemporary society created within an institutional and legal framework which is undergoing multiple changes affected by the media and communication impact. Our research consists of identifying anomalies in the procedure for inscribing properties on the World Heritage List through a comparative study of the recommendations of the advisory bodies and of the final decisions taken by the World Heritage Committee between 2010 and 2019 and how they indirectly affect the future of the 1972 Convention.
Le patrimoine mondial représente une forme sociale de la société contemporaine créée dans un cadre institutionnel et juridique, qui subit de multiples mutations affectées par son poids médiatique et communicationnel. Notre recherche consiste de repérer les anomalies dans la procédure d’inscription des biens sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial à travers une étude comparative des recommandations des organisations consultatives et des décisions finales prises par Comité du patrimoine mondial et comment elles affectent indirectement l’avenir de la Convention de 1972.
