Synthesis and Structure of bis(1,2-Bisdiphenyl-Phosphinoethane)Hexahalodimolybdenum(III), Mo2X6(dppe)2 (X = Cl, Br, I)
Résumé
The title compounds have been obtained by dimerization of MoX2(dppe)(THF) following THF loss in non-coordinating solvents. The chloride compound has been crystallographically characterized as Mo2Cl6(dppe)2·4CH2Cl2: monoclinic, space group P21/n, a = 13.846(1), b = 18.204(2), c = 15.479(1) Å, β = 108.589(7)°, V = 3698(1) Å3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.38 g cm-3, μ(Cu-Kα) = 86.21 cm-1, R = 0.073, Rw = 0.104 for 365 parameters and 4804 unique data, of which 2823 were observed [Fo2 > 3σ(Fo2)]. The compound has an edge-sharing bioctahedral configuration and the two metals are separated at a distance of 2.767(2) Å.
