Abstract : A paper that presents the practices and trajectories of the search for origins of sperm donor conceived adults in France and the United Kingdom. These searches are most often undertaken through direct-to-consumer DNA testing. I show how the "genetic" information gathered from these tests is put into a narrative, making DNA one clue among others in the search for origins.
