Flexible querying of semi-structured data or documents: A preliminary discussion

The paper provides a preliminary discussion of a fuzzy set approach Io the handling of flexible queries w. r. t. semi- structured information. Fuzzy sets may be useful or expressing flexible requirements on attribute values, but also for estimating the degree of similarity between tags, or attribute labels, and terms prescrit in the request (such a simliarity may be given through thesauri). The handling of priorities between terms in the request is also considered
