Photographie réflexive et pratiques informationnelles : une méthodologie au service de la complexité

Abstract : We propose here to examine methodological and epistemological stakes of reflexive photography to study "information practice" (Chaudiron et Ihadjadène, 2010). Information practice is part of a broader and widely documented research area inside which the participative and visual methods aim at coming the closest to the individual information experience. Our paper is from information and communication sciences and reviews information practice of students, both in middle school and university. It is based on the results of two different studies made with reflexive photography, defined as the fact that participants themselves take photos which are commented and part of semi-directive interviews (Harrington et Schibik, 2003; Bigando, 2013).
