Marcel Proust is an author of studies and analysis of Martha Nussbaum. He told French society in detail and did so through an original style and a work open to a multitude of themes. With In Search of Lost Time, Proust paved the way for memorialist literature as a genre of success. The novel is run through the theme of erotic desire (also homosexual, both male and female), is rooted in what Freud will call the “family romance” of lovers and, finally, speaks the language of cinematographic editing.

Il a raconté en détail la société française et l’a fait à travers un style original et une œuvre ouverte à une multitude de thèmes. Avec À la recherche du temps perdu, Proust a ouvert la voie à la littérature mémorialiste comme genre de succès. Le roman est parcouru par le thème du désir érotique (également homosexuel, aussi bien masculin que féminin), s'enracine dans ce que Freud appellera le « roman familial » des amoureux et, enfin, parle le langage du montage cinématographique.
