SOUNDS, SILENCE AND DREAMS: From the soundscape of the Alta Langa highlands to the dreamland

Abstract : This work describes an experience of listening to the soundscape – in a specific context (Alta Langa, Southern Piedmont) – in which we want to converge listening, walking and dreaming, to explore the passages from one experience to the other to understand their mutual influences. This experience, which suffered a forced interruption due to the pandemic and is waiting to be resumed, has two objectives: • To create a format for small groups, applicable in different contexts, which relates three dimensions: the body activated by the ancient action of walking, listening to the soundscape in which one moves, and sharing dreams; • To explore which potential offers the connections between these three bridge dimensions between the individual inner world and the environment.
