Les arts du corps chez les Toupouri (Nord-Cameroun et Sud du Tchad) : Source de l’histoire et marqueur culturel

Abstract : This study seeks to understand aesthetic practices among the Toupouri as a source of history and a cultural marker. She approaches the notion of aesthetics, beauty articles and body markings from an anthropological perspective and according to a synchronic approach. This scientific perspective makes it possible to present firstly the materials used and techniques employed in the arts of the body and secondly, the symbolic characters of these codes of seduction. In this regard, apprehension of the arts of the body allows to a certain extent to grasp the ruptures and continuities that have influenced art and craftsmanship in the traditional Toupouri society located in the Chadian basin.
