Des banques privées sauvées par l’Etat et des banques publiques qui spéculent ? Les banques allemandes face à la crise de 2008

Abstract : The dominant theory to explain the 2008 rests upon the critics of the financial sector. This approach holds true. However, we intend to show that the governement and central banks in the United States and in Europe have also caused this crisis. To support this thesis, we look at the German financial system. We have choosen this topic because the study of the German banking system allows to question the idea that financialization alone caused the 2008 crisis. The German banking systems remains indeed highly regulated, subject to state control and characteristic of a corporatist system. The study of the German banking system thus makes it possible to better understand how such a conservative financial system and far from the Anglo-Saxon speculative model could have been affected by the 2008 crisis.
