Understanding Obese Patients’ Engagement by Their Empowderment Level: the Case of Bariatric Surgery

Résumé

Too numerous cases of failures of bariatric surgery lead at better investigating its key success factors. Specifically, patients have to get engaged in a lifelong physical activity and diet program. Thanks to life narratives of 14 patients, the results underline a close relationship between empowerment and the patient’s engagement.
