This booklet is the result of collaboration between the Rama Language Project and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), within the framework of the Joint Program for Cultural Revitalization and Creative Productive Development of the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua. The goal of this collaboration is to produce teaching materials and so contribute to the revitalization of the Rama people’s language and culture. All the world’s languages are priceless treasures because they hold within them the knowledge and wisdom of their peoples, especially with regard to their environment and lands.
