The Implementation of the Quality Process in Higher Education. A Critical Approach
Résumé
The education system is currently an economic concern, with regard to the efficie nc y of the system. From this point of view, the education system is seen as a societal project that has to meet a range of both financial and scientific obligations. On the one hand, designing an education system is a task for which pedagogical and scientific specialists are responsible. On the other hand, the involvement of various socioeconomic actors has become essential insofar as it encourages carrying out the fairest possible evaluation of the education system's performance. Several researchers, including Jacqueline S Golberg (2002), specify that "More recently, education leaders have begun to organize the potential for Total Quality Management applied to educational organization". Research into this subject has shown the level of interest in addressing the issue of the efficiency of the education system. These studies have, in particular, highlighted the benefits of a quality assurance approach in higher education. However, other researchers emphasise the limitations of this approach to the extent that it can hinder the personal development of individuals.
