Git4School: A Dashboard for Supporting Teacher Interventions in Software Engineering Courses

Abstract : When learning activities are enhanced by technologies, data can be collected in real time and can be represented in the form of dashboards on which teachers can rely for decision-making in the orchestration of their interventions. This paper presents Git4School, a dashboard for teachers offering visualizations based on data extracted from students’ Git repositories combined with complementary temporal contextual information. Based on a case study, a qualitative analysis shows how Git4School was used by teachers to guide their decision-making during face to face courses.
