Exploratory study of Indian languages information retrieval in online bibliographical databases

Résumé

The increasing availability of multilingual and multi-script online catalogues, constituted using different cataloguing methods and norms, has led to write this paper. The aim is to explore the problems and perspectives of Indian languages information retrieval on the basis of three online multilingual bibliographical databases selected either for their wide usage and /or originality: World , LC online catalogue and IFP online Webopac.
