Political bases for the designing of an information system

Résumé

Computerization projects are priviledged opportunities for involving actors and for rethinking the definition of individual and collective work. However, many projects have triggered off more resistance than creative adhesion. Designing of an information system, in particular its modelling, is not the transposition, in the form of a technical solution , of an objectively perceived reality, but rather that it is based on a cognitive relationship of the designer with his environment. The designer is guided by an intention, eiteher technical or social. hi most cases the design takes into account in an unbalanced way the two aspects of a firm, wich is both a production system and a political space. In order to further the taking into account of the political dimension, we shall propose some principles for information system development, inspired by the political philosophy, which are likely to create a dynamics of involvement.
