Étude des enjeux symboliques liés aux objets nomades connectés : vers une analyse critique du discours

Abstract : This study seeks to determine how the use of nomadic digital tools introduced by students in French-language courses can impact the shape of a well-defined academic form, such as a given organizational form of teaching/learning in the university context. A group interview survey of students and teachers was conducted at a French learning centre geared toward international students in order to collect the involved actors’ discourse and undertake a critical analysis, with special focus on the expression of power relations. Our study attests that an academic form endures through a dialectic of docility and control, and is located in an in-between space where the rules governing the use of connected objects are rarely clearly established.
