La « lutte contre l’illettrisme » est-elle bien outillée ? Quelles ressources pour les formateurs et les apprenants ?

Abstract : There has been talk of illiteracy in France since the 1980s and much has been said and written about it by the media, politicians and scientists. The case of these native French-speaking adults who have serious difficulties in reading and writing their own language is indeed perceived and presented as a real social problem. In fact, the difficulty of reading and writing is a real hindrance in our hyper-connected world, saturated with traditional and digital writings. Yet, beyond the discourse, few didactic resources are available to learners and trainers in the field of adult language training. The field of language didactics is probably best placed to design and create resources on the issue of tools for learning to read and write, but it still needs to be addressed. The aim of this article is to show that research in language didactics, through an interdisciplinary approach, can serve as a basis for the design and creation of didactic tools in the field of illiteracy and Key Competencies training.
