Opportunistic Equivalent Sources for Field Synthesis - Potentialities and Future Trends
Résumé
An innovative paradigm for the synthesis of feasible sources radiating arbitrary field distributions is introduced. Towards this end, the design problem is formulated in terms of an inverse scattering (IS) one aimed at determining the electromagnetic (EM) properties of an isotropic/non-magnetic field-manipulating device able to modify the radiation features of an assigned source such that it is able to match a desired target field distribution in a given domain. An illustrative numerical example is provided to preliminarily assess the proposed innovative antenna design framework.
