Education inclusive à la santé environnementale pour la transition écologique : MOOC « TEAM » Transferts Environnementaux des contAminants Métalliques

Abstract : In France, the National Strategy for Ecological Transition towards Sustainable Development (SNTEDD) aims to give everyone the power to act for a new model of society more sober and combining economic progress, ecological and human. The sharing and accessibility of knowledge about environmental health is therefore a crucial step in enabling citizens to better understand and act sustainably on a daily basis; to reduce the risks of exposure to persistent pollutants such as (eco) toxic metals. However, innovative digital teaching tools such as MOOCs make it possible to massively inform the general public because they are accessible: frequent free of charge, attractive content and ergonomic use. In addition, they promote the consideration of the otherness of learners. That is why this communication concerns the creation of the MOOC "TEAM" entitled "Acting together to reduce the presence of toxic metals in our plate-Environmental transfers of metallic contaminants" intended for everyone, from high school, and totally accessible according to the European criteria of the Directive (EU) 2016/2102. Indeed, the French Sign Language (LSF), subtitles and a voiceover are included in the videos, for efficient training respectively of deaf or hard of hearing learners through a very visual learning, or visually impaired people. In addition, the LSF based on the visual and taking into account the 3 dimensions of the space facilitates the understanding of complex and / or abstract processes. In addition, a work was done to take into account the visually impaired and blind people with a work on the contrasts, the sharing of scripts, as well as a restitution of the information essential to the understanding of the oral course. Active pedagogy is implemented because it promotes the engagement, reflection and critical thinking of learners. Scientific concepts are thus approached from concrete examples of cases of pollution described in the media; learners are led to seek information and develop actions related to their daily practices of gardening, DIY, consumption ... The precise objectives of MOOC-TEAM developed by an interdisciplinary teaching team and multi actors (teachers, researchers, educational engineers, Koena company) are: 1-Creation of widely accessible educational resources on persistent metallic contaminants, while promoting interdisciplinary research work: continuum training-research-development and popular science. 2-Openness to society and voluntary inclusion of the deaf and visually impaired in the French education system for a more creative and supportive society, enhancing the value of otherness. 3-Pedagogical experimentation by example and the use of the LSF and visual aids to improve the learning of all on the complex subject of topical environmental health and ecological transition.
