Technological developments and the expiry of patents in three-dimensional printing are making this technology less and less expensive and with increased performance. Now widespread in the manufacturing industry, 3D printing is about to cross the threshold of our homes. The dematerialization of objects into exchangeable digital files raises many questions about the enforcement of intellectual property rights in French Law.

La technique et l’expiration de brevets en matière d’impression tridimensionnelle rendent cette technologie de moins en moins chère pour des performances accrues. Maintenant répandue dans l’industrie manufacturière, l’impression 3D s’apprête à franchir le seuil de nos foyers. La dématérialisation d’objets en fichiers numériques échangeables laisse entrevoir de nombreux questionnements en matière de respect des droits de propriété intellectuelle.
