Matière à pensées : outils d'édition et médiation de la créativité

Abstract : This paper contributes to an epistemology of digital writing and publishing tools, ranging from markup languages to cartography. We describe the effects of moving from paper to screen on the intellectual processes at work when producing knowledge, focusing on dynamic rendering in software and its relation to abstract thought. We discuss how it stimulates creativity and challenges document theory, opening new avenues for research in both Information Science and Digital Humanities.
