La actualización local del derecho en los conflictos asociados a residuos peligrosos de Guadalcázar a Zimapán

Abstract : This paper focuses on public decisions to locate or construct facilities for hazardous wastes. Its goal is to analyze how the environmental and waste management law are perceived and used when a conflictive situation arose. This paper aims to underlines that there is not a single use but there are different modes and purposes in the law uses: to name the conflictive situations, but also neutralize them, influence them. The paper analyzes two waste management facilities, in Guadalcázar and in Zimapán, to address how references to federal law become a sort of localization of law in order to update its validity in the local space.
