Résumé
The purpose of the join research program "ARBANO", which was created in 2011, is to characterize the forms and types of settlements during the Antiquity and ti follow their development.The work has now led to the building of an atlas using a geographical information system and to the production of synthesis. One of the lines of research focuses on ancient land transport networks and the pace that rural settlements occupied within them.
Le programme collectif de recherche "ARBANO", créé en 2011, a pour objectif de caractériser les formes et types de peuplement au cours de l'Antiquité et de suivre leur évolution. Les travaux aboutissent maintenant à la construction d'un atlas à l'aide d'un système d'information géographique, ainsi qu'à la réalisation de synthèses. L'un des axes de recherche est consacré aux réseaux de circulation terrestre anciens et à la place occupée en leur sein par les habitats ruraux.
