Visualization Trends in France

Abstract : The research community in the field of visualization is flourishing. There has been a proliferation of international conferences over the past five years. For example OpenVis whose 2018 edition took place in Paris as well as the exhibition 123 Data, or Information Plus whose 2nd edition 2018 took place in Berlin, and also some awards like information is beautiful award which took place in London. These events, in addition to the historical rendezvous such as IEEE VIS, Eurovis, PacificVIS and Journée Visu, show the vivacity and multidisciplinarity of the field. Below we report the progress, research questions, recent issues, and the place of France in this field.
