Enantiomeric Analysis of Planar Chiral (η 6 -Arene)chromium Tricarbonyl Complexes using NMR in Oriented Solvents

Abstract : We investigate the analytical potential of proton-decoupled and proton-coupled carbon-13 NMR spectroscopy in chiral polypeptide liquid crystals for the enantiomeric discrimination of planar chiral (η6-arene)chromium tricarbonyl complexes. Experimental results obtained for chiral β-hydroxyamino alcohol and a series of chiral aldehydic complexes are reported and discussed in detail.
