Special issues on analysis and control of delay and propagation systems were introduced. Specialists from Mathematics and Control Engineering working on delay systems presented some of their latest results. Issues discussed deal with identifiability and identification of delay systems; structural properties of delay systems; Lie algebras and Lyapunov transformations in the stability and control of some classes of nonlinear delay systems; robust stabilization problem of a class of neutral systems in terms of delays and lossless propagation models described by coupled differential and difference equations.
